84-780 MITS Capstone Project I
6 units, Carnegie Mellon University
In this required course MITS students are expected to meet at least once weekly on assigned teams to familiarize themselves with the capstone project, develop a project plan, course of action and provide timely updates to the project mentor or faculty advisor. The 6unit MITS Capstone Project I is followed by 24unit MITS Capstone Project II in the summer, where student teams dive deeper into the work started in 84780 to produce the expected deliverable. Registration in the MITS Capstone Project I course is limited to those students who have been accepted into the MITS program. The capstone project provides students with a laboratory for direct application of concepts learned in core courses.
