80-813 Topics in Philosophy of Mathematics: AI for Mathematics
12 units, Carnegie Mellon University
Mathematical reasoning requires intuition and experience on the one hand, and precise, rulebased reasoning on the other. It is therefore a paradigm domain of application for neurosymbolic methods in AI, which combine machine learning with symbolic, logicbased reasoning. The goal of this semester will be to come up to speed on contemporary literature in this area.
