54-194 Actors' Lab for Non-majors

In this experiential studio class, students participate in scene work directed by first and second year John Wells Directing Fellows. Students rehearse in class under the guidance of the fellows and then present scenes for feedback. On occasion, participants may be asked to meet outside of set class time for additional rehearsals but only if necessary and this is kept to a minimum. Plays are chosen by the Wells fellows and in the past have ranged from Calderon to Naomi Wallace. Audition required at the beginning of the semester. Admittance to class by permission of professor.
