51-759 User Experience Research and Design
12 units, Carnegie Mellon University
This is a team studio project course that provides a template for identifying an innovative product, business, service, and/or system. This course will enable you to have a longitudinal learning experience to understand disparate information, identify opportunities, and develop tangible solutions for undiscovered or under-realized needs through the human-centric design process, team collaboration, and visualization tools. Effective user experience is about synthesizing four dynamic issues at many levels. UX design requires human interaction considerations of: cognitive, physical, behavioral, and emotional aspects. This course will require application of behavioral research, analysis, and synthesis to design in 2D and 3D mediums, and present a product solution in a visual format.
