IoT Ecosystems Designing Intelligent, Interactive, Internetenabled Spaces Imagine a room with dozens of internetenabled objects sensing, sharing and cooperating around data. It gets complex really fast. So how do we design ecologies of interacting objects that actually do useful things Well get handson with this question as part of this designbuild course. Over 7weeks, well collaboratively research, design and realize an interactive ecosystem of networked devices that solves a stakeholderdriven problem. Well explore the opportunities to deliver rich, adaptive and connected experiences through existing internet of things products as well as new and emerging technologies. Students will be supported in this in this exploration by lectures, readings, design exercises, and guest speakers that introduce foundational theory, strategies, and precedents that inform the design of these complex ecologies. This course is intended for MIIPS Pittsburgh. There are limited places for graduate students in other programs by instructor permission only.
