48-451 Incompletion and the Embodied Experience in Architecture
9 units, Carnegie Mellon University
This course concerns the development of architecture which physically engages all the body?s senses through embodied experience while it sparks the user?s imagination through the use of incompletion. If architecture is to fully engage our physical experience, memory and imagination, architects must consider both the mind and the body and especially their interaction. The course will reaffirm architecture as a means to link us physically, mentally, and perhaps emotionally to the world.
