36-783 Graphical Models
6 units, Carnegie Mellon University
Graphical models are statistical models for describing the joint probability distribution of a collection of random variables. These models rely in a fundamental way on graph theory to encode independence and conditional independence relationships among the variables of interest. This is a graduate level introductory course on graphical models which covers a selection of topics from the book "Graphical Models" by S.L. Lauritzen.
