33-332 Physical Mechanics II
10 units, Carnegie Mellon University
This is the second semester of a twosemester course on classical mechanics. The course will use the tools developed in 33331 to examine motion in noninertial reference frames in particular, rotating frames. This then leads to the development of general rigid body motion, Eulers Equations. Finally, the course will cover coupled oscillations with particular emphasis on normal modes.
Prerequisites: 33-331
Offered: Spring 2027
