24-681 Computer-Aided Design
12 units, Carnegie Mellon University
his course is the first section of the twosemester sequence on computational engineering. Students will learn how computation and information technologies are rapidly changing the way engineering design is practiced in industry. The course covers the theories and applications of the measurement, representation, modeling, and simulation of threedimensional geometric data used in the engineering designed process. Students taking this course are assumed to have knowledge of the first course in computer programming. 4 hrs lecture, 2 hrs computer cluster
