One of the key characteristics of the Internet of Things IoT is its wide range of use cases, which scale from a single constrained device to massive crossplatform deployments of embedded technologies and systems. This course provides an overview of the protocols and standards enabling the use and development of IoT devices, systems, and applications. It provides students with a better understanding of the IoTspecific layer technology stack by drilling down on specific layers and both, general and industry specific, protocols and standards. In addition, this course provides the required foundations to benchmark the available technologies for any IoT use case or deployment and apply some of this knowledge and concepts to system projects.
