This course is designed to link concepts of cell culture, bioseparations, formulation and delivery together for the commercial production and use of biologicallybased pharmaceuticals products considered include proteins, nucleic acids, and fermentationderived fine chemicals. Associated regulatory issues and biotech industry case studies are also included. A fair knowledge of cell culture and fermentation operations is assumed.
